The Alpha Phi Omega(APO) – Delta Alpha Chapter of Rizal Technological University(RTU), a duly recognized non-academic student organization, successfully conducted its semi-annual blood donation drive, pertinently titled “Blood is Gold,” on November 29, 2024. Held at the Left Wing Lobby of SNAGAH Building, RTU Mandaluyong Campus, the event aimed to address the ongoing need for blood donations and to promote a culture of giving within the RTU community.

The success of the initiative can be attributed to the collaborative efforts between various organizations and institutions including the APO – Delta Alpha Chapter, the Mandaluyong City Health Office Laboratory Section, the National Voluntary Blood Services Program – Mandaluyong City (NVBSP), and VRP Medical Center. The strong participative support from the APO ni Sisa Alumni Association and APO – Delta Alpha Alumni Association further strengthened the impact of the event.

Through this blood donation initiative, RTU’s Alpha Phi Omega – Delta Alpha Chapter demonstrated its dedication to the principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service, and has once again proven its commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others. The event not only helped address the critical shortage of blood supply but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and social responsibility among the participants.
