The Regional Development Council—National Capital Region (RDC-NCR) held its Technical Budget Consultation for State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) for Fiscal Year 2026, February 18, 2025, at Green Sun Hotel, Makati City.
The consultation serves as an essential annual activity to ensure that the proposed programs and projects of SUCs within NCR align with the development priorities outlined in the Regional Development Plan-NCR and the Philippine Development Plan. Through this process, the budget proposals undergo rigorous review and evaluation to secure funding for initiatives that will drive social development and academic excellence.
For Fiscal Year 2026, the budget proposals of SUCs under the Social Development Committee were reviewed. Representatives from various institutions presented their respective financial plans and defended their proposed allocations to the RDC-NCR panel.
Representing Rizal Technological University (RTU) at the consultation were Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, University President; Dr. Rodolfo L. Ducut, Vice President for Finance and Administration, who presented and defended RTU’s budget proposal; Assoc. Prof. Ella D. Aragon, Planning Office Director; and Ms. R-Cherine Heart O. Manapat, Budget Officer. The participation of RTU’s key officials exemplifies the university’s commitment to securing adequate financial support for its programs, ensuring that its initiatives continue to resonate with regional and national development.
The RDC-NCR remains steadfast in fostering collaboration among SUCs and government agencies to optimize resources and advance educational and social development goals in the region, and RTU remains open and committed to strengthening its institutions through dialogues and collaborations.
