Faculty Researchers proudly represented Rizal Technological University (RTU) through their paper presentations at the 10th International Conference on Sustainability, hosted by Universitas Merdeka Malang, Indonesia, on 15 November 2025, via Zoom. 

Dr. Samuel A. Balbin presented their paper, titled “Meaningful Utilization of Artificial Intelligence in Education”, sharing insights on the transformative role of the emerging technology in teaching and learning. Co-authored by Dr. Faith Micah Abenes-Balbin and Mr. John Peter De Leon, the research paper delves into a comprehensive analysis of AI’s penetration of academic walls and its undeniable presence in classrooms and learning activities.

Meanwhile, a team of Filipino majors from the University presented their paper, titled “Proposed Filipino Tech-based Language Competencies Input to Realigning Filipino Subjects to the Laboratory High School’s Mandate”. The recommendations of Dr. Melvin Mortera, Instr. Aira Mitra, and Assoc. Prof. Imelda Sioson, in the paper, introduced competencies in Tech-based Filipino Language and detailed how technology can strengthen cultural identity and language learning in the digital age.

Advancing knowledge in education remains a priority for RTU. Through these contributions, RTU continues to advance research, promote sustainability, and elevate Filipino scholarhood on the international stage.
