IHK STRENGTHENS GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION ADVANCEMENT

Rizal Technological University (RTU), through its Institute of Human Kinetics (IHK), is strengthening its internationalization efforts through a partnership with Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) in Indonesia, aimed at advancing Physical Education, Sports Science, and Human Movement. The engagement took place on October 5, 2026, with RTU-IHK Director Dr. Mark Joseph D. Santos, Undiksha Dean for Academic Affairs and Cooperation Dr. I Ketut Yoda, and Vice Dean Dr. I Gede Suwiwa.

The engagement culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between RTU and Undiksha, establishing a formal framework for sustained institutional cooperation. The agreement provides opportunities for student and faculty mobility, faculty exchange, collaborative research and publications, international training for pre-service teachers, summer sports programs, postgraduate degree partnerships, and the possible development of a double degree program.

Through this partnership, IHK students and faculty will gain greater access to international learning opportunities, professional development, and cross-cultural experiences. They will also have opportunities to explore research collaborations, joint publications, academic exchanges, curriculum enhancement, and professional networking with international counterparts.

The collaboration also supports RTU’s broader internationalization initiatives by expanding its global academic network and creating opportunities for cooperation in teaching, research, innovation, and institutional development.

Through initiatives in education, sports, research, mobility, and capacity building, the agreement promotes shared efforts toward quality education, improved well-being, and international cooperation. This marks another step in IHK’s pursuit of excellence in Physical Education and its commitment to developing globally competitive students and faculty. By establishing meaningful international linkages, RTU continues to expand opportunities for academic growth and contribute to the advancement of Physical Education in the Philippines and across borders.
