RTU Passes Stage 2 Certification Audit for ISO 21001:2018, Set to Receive Certification Quality

The verdict is in—Rizal Technological University (RTU) passed the Stage 2 Audit for ISO 21001:2018 certification.

In a week-long rigorous scrutinization of RTU’s internal processes, the TÜV SÜD PSB Philippines Inc. deemed the University worthy of being certified for its Educational Organization Management System. The audit, conducted on November 24-28, 2025, evaluated the quality assurance of various offices and units in RTU.

The audit was hosted by the Quality Assurance Office, now led by Dr. Jack Robert Sablan, and was supported by the top university officials, including the University President, Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, along with the University Vice Presidents.

Through the expert lens of TÜV SÜD’s Auditors, Dr. Jaypee Bathan and Ms. Christine Anne Formalejo, the following offices and units underwent a thorough inspection and audit of their respective processes and functions.

At the closing program, the results were presented. Dr. Bathan announced that collectively the audit identified 25 Opportunities for Improvement, 6 Minor Non-Compliances, and no Major Non-Compliance.

While the results are a cause for celebration, the university officials committed to continue improving the quality of its services and internal processes.

The successful conduct of the audit symbolizes RTU’s renewed commitment to quality assurance, while the results showcase the university offices’ strong implementation of international standards.
