Life Below Water: RTU engages in research and conservation efforts to protect marine ecosystems and biodiversity.

In the cycle of life, all living creatures exist to co-exist with other life forms on earth, including humans. We are all interdependent species. Protecting marine ecosystems begins with proper waste disposal management and refraining from excessive use of plastics. The University implements guidelines on properly disposing of wastes through segregation.

University researchers are also trying to focus on conservation studies that address mitigation of the impacts of climate change on marine life and its natural habitat and to help sustain the government’s Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) initiatives and all life forms under water.
