A team from Rizal Technological University (RTU) recently visited Bauertek Pharmaceutical Technologies in Giguinto, Bulacan, March 11, 2025, to explore potential collaboration opportunities. The team was led by Engr. Fortunato Dela Peña, former Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary and current RTU Consultant, alongside Mr. Donato Z. Estocada, Director for International Affairs and Linkages Office of RTU.
The visit aimed to identify and discuss possible areas of partnership between RTU and Bauertek Pharmaceutical Technologies, particularly in the fields of research and development, innovation, and technology transfer. The team was warmly welcomed by Scientist Richard Nixon Gomez, the CEO of Bauertek Pharmaceutical Technologies, who expressed his eagerness to explore synergies with RTU.
“We are excited to discuss how we can collaborate to advance pharmaceutical technologies and contribute to the country’s healthcare sector,” said Gomez during the visit.
Engr. Dela Peña, in his remarks, emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and industry to foster innovation and drive economic growth. He also highlighted RTU’s role in contributing to the advancement of science and technology in the Philippines.
The visit marks the beginning of a promising relationship between RTU and Bauertek, with both parties looking forward to further discussions and initiatives that could benefit both the educational and pharmaceutical sectors in the country.
