RTU Strengthens Global Engagement and Visibility through ATU-NET Membership

Rizal Technological University (RTU) has further strengthened its international presence by joining the Asian Technological University Network (ATU-NET). This initiative, led by the University’s International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO), underscores RTU’s commitment to increasing its global visibility and improving its performance in international impact rankings.

ATU-NET is a regional consortium of higher education institutions across Asia that promotes collaboration in education, research, and innovation. Through this membership, RTU gains access to a broader platform for academic cooperation, including faculty and student mobility programs, joint research initiatives, and knowledge-sharing activities—key drivers in strengthening institutional visibility on the global stage.

University officials noted that international partnerships such as ATU-NET play a crucial role in boosting RTU’s profile in global rankings. These collaborations contribute to measurable outcomes in research productivity, internationalization, and societal impact, which are essential indicators in widely recognized ranking systems aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

IALO emphasized that this initiative reflects RTU’s proactive approach to building strategic linkages that extend beyond borders. By engaging with peer institutions across Asia, the University is better positioned to showcase its academic strengths, expand its research networks, and foster a more globally competitive learning environment.

In a brief message, the Director of IALO highlighted the significance of this development: “RTU’s membership in ATU-NET represents a vital step in advancing our global visibility. Through this network, we can cultivate meaningful collaborations that enhance our academic profile and contribute to our standing in international impact rankings, while remaining committed to excellence in education and service.”

With its continued efforts to expand international collaborations, RTU’s participation in ATU-NET marks a strategic move toward greater global recognition—reinforcing its role as a forward-looking institution dedicated to academic excellence and global engagement.
