The Rizal Technological University (RTU) Psychology Department marked a significant milestone in its history as it celebrated the achievements of its two top-notch graduates in the Board Licensure Examination for Psychometricians (BLEP) with a formal courtesy visit to the university’s president. The event took place at the Office of the President conference room on August 29, 2024.
Under the supervision of Dean Jeremiah Pacer and the headship of Assistant Professor Kathleen Ryan Bobadilla, the RTU Psychology Department led the visit. The highlight of the event was the recognition of Reanne Castillo and Gladys Bedija, two graduates from the RTU Pasig branch who secured top spots in the recent BLEP. This is the first time in the university’s history that it has produced two topnotchers in the BLEP, making it a landmark achievement for the institution.
The courtesy visit was hosted by Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, the esteemed president of RTU, welcomed the topnotchers with warm congratulations. The meeting underscored the significance of the department’s success not only for the students and faculty involved but also for the university as a whole.
The visit was also attended by the faculty members of the Bachelor of Science in Psychology program, who have played a crucial role in mentoring and supporting the students throughout their academic journey. The BLEP results also saw RTU being ranked 8th among the top-performing schools in the country, further solidifying its reputation as a leading institution for psychology education.
