Mandaluyong City, Philippines — March 5, 2026 — Rizal Technological University (RTU), through the International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO), successfully hosted the Korean Culture Festival and Education Fair at the RTU Quadrangle, strengthening international collaboration and cultural understanding between the Philippines and South Korea.
The event was conducted in partnership with Gimcheon University and the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) as part of RTU’s internationalization initiatives. The festival welcomed Dr. Yoon Ok-Hyun, President of Gimcheon University, along with her delegation from South Korea, who joined the Rizaliano community in celebrating Korean culture and education.
The Korean Culture Festival and Education Fair aimed to promote cross-cultural engagement, global awareness, and international academic partnerships, supporting the university’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
A highlight of the event was the vibrant cultural performances by the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) performers, who showcased South Korea’s rich cultural heritage through traditional dances and an interactive quiz bee, allowing participants to learn more about Korean traditions, history, and culture.
Adding to the celebration of cultural exchange, RTU’s Kultura Rizalia captivated the audience with a special dance performance that blended Philippine and Korean elements, symbolizing the growing friendship and cultural connection between the two nations.
The festival not only served as a platform for cultural appreciation but also strengthened RTU’s commitment to fostering international cooperation, intercultural dialogue, and global learning opportunities for students and faculty.
