The University of Antique proudly conferred its prestigious recognition to Dr. Ma. Eugenia Magaro- Yangco, President of Rizal Technological University (RTU), during its 74th Commencement Exercises, held at Paghi-UsA Hall, University of Antique, Main Campus last January 11, 2025. The recognition highlights Dr. Yangco’s invaluable contributions as a “Katuwang sa Pag-Ugwad” (Partner in Institutional Development), acknowledging her exemplary leadership in education and community development.
The award was personally transferred by Senator Loren Legarda, together with the University of Antique officials led by Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., SUC President. The recognition celebrates Dr. Yangco’s dedication to advancing quality education and promoting sustainability in alignment with the University of Antique’s mission of fostering resilient communities.
Dr. Yangco exemplifies the core values of Katutum (Truth), Katampad (Integrity), Kabalaka (Compassion), and Kinaadman (Wisdom) through her transformative leadership and exceptional contributions as an Antiqueña educator. Her initiatives have continuously inspired institutions and communities to thrive and innovate in the face of challenges.
The event also recognized Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreño, President of Guimaras State University (GSU), with the same award, underscoring the importance of institutional partnerships in advancing transformative education.
In his message, Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr. expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the strong connection built between the University of Antique, RTU, and GSU.
