RTU on Recollection: A Lenten Journey of Reflection and Revival

Rizal Technological University (RTU), located in Mandaluyong City, held a Lenten Recollection on March 18, 2024, in the RTU Chapel. With the theme “Renewal: A Lenten Journey of Reflection and Revival,”  the event aimed to foster spiritual introspection and renewal within the university faculty, staff, and students.

The recollection commenced with a mass presided over by the Parish Priest of Bahay Pari, Guadalupe, Makati City, Father Totie San Pedro. His preaching brought the morning into deep contemplation and spiritual rejuvenation.

Following the mass, the RTU recollection attendees welcomed the recollection master, Brother Jo-I Villas, a dedicated pastoral worker of the Missionary Families of Christ (MFC). Currently serving as the Coordinator in the Province of Bohol for MFC and the National Head of Live the Faith Mission, Brother Jo-I brought with him a wealth of experience in guiding individuals on their spiritual journeys.

In his talk, Bro. Jo-I Villas shared insights on the significance of renewal and reflection during the Lenten season. Adding a moving bit to the event, Bro. Jo-I treated the attendees to a soul-stirring rendition of a self-composed song. The melody, infused with heartfelt lyrics, fosters a profound sense of faith and reverence.

This recollection is a testament to the university’s commitment to the holistic development of its stakeholders, nurturing not only the minds but also the spirits of its students and faculty.
