RTU Joins National Seminar on Records Management

Baguio City, Philippines – The Philippine Records Management Association, Inc. recently hosted a transformative seminar-workshop to reinvigorate the records management field. From December 3-5, 2024, professionals from across the country gathered at the Veniz Hotel for a seminar event titled, “Bring Sexy Back to Records Management.”

Among the notable participants were representatives from Rizal Technological University, including Mr. Paolo Gaspar, Director of the Records Management Office. Accompanying him were Instr. Susan Vargas, Head of the RMO Pasig branch, and Instr. Joel Rodriguez, Head of the Human Resource Records Management Unit.

The three-day seminar explored five comprehensive topics designed to transform records management from a routine administrative task to a strategic organizational asset. Participants engaged with innovative concepts including mindset and maturity models, records management fitness, the hourglass strategy, performance metrics development, and comprehensive reshaping of records management practices.

By challenging traditional perceptions, the association sought to inspire professionals to view records management as a dynamic and essential function. The conference equipped attendees with cutting-edge strategies and insights, potentially revolutionizing how organizations approach information management and organizational efficiency.
