RTU holds a Crime Prevention and Awareness Seminar

The Civil Security Office, led by Instr. Karlo Antonio A. Catindig and supervised by Dr. Rome Sherriff G. Montoya, Director of the Center for General Administrative Services (CGAS), in collaboration with the RTU Grand Alumni Association Inc. headed by Atty. Abdol Bryan Barte, organized a Crime Prevention and Awareness Seminar on October 9, at 9:00 a.m., at the Rizal Technological University, Boni, Mandaluyong, Plenary Hall, Estolas Building.
The resource speakers provided important insights on crime and practical safety tips to RTU staff, students, and stakeholders. They also encouraged the community to be cautious of their behaviors, which ranged from internet websites to community and physical encounters with others. The speakers underlined the need of taking proactive actions and remaining vigilant. PCapt. Michelle R. Sabino, PMSg. Teddy L. Lim, and Hon. Ariel P. Duran, Councilor of Basey Samar, are among the speakers.

The seminar also served as a forum for community participation, cooperation, and projects. The interactive session allowed participants to think on the abilities that would be necessary in an emergency, and this newfound understanding will be critical in equipping individuals with the information and awareness to contribute to a safer and more secure community.
