Beijing, China — April 10, 2025 — Rizal Technological University (RTU) marked another milestone in its internationalization efforts.  It officially forged an academic partnership with Jiaxeng University in a ceremonial signing held on Thursday, April 10. The event took place at the Zhongguancun Software Park, Dongbeiwang, Haidian District, Beijing, hosted by Beijing Phihua International Education Technology Co., Ltd.

Representing RTU was Director Donato Z. Estocada of the International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO), who formalized the collaboration through a memorandum of understanding with Jiaxeng University, paving the way for academic exchanges, joint research endeavors, and cross-border learning opportunities.

Representing Jiaxing University were Director Pan Weiwei of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, Professor Shen Yimeng of the Business School, and Officer Ye Xiaolu, Executive of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department. 

The partnership ceremony was witnessed by prominent dignitaries including Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Chairperson of the RTU Board of Regents, and Ms. Maria May-i L. Fabros, Third Secretary and Vice Consul of the Philippine Embassy in Beijing.

The agreement between RTU and Jiaxeng University underscores the growing emphasis on global education cooperation, as both institutions aim to develop innovative programs, cultural exchanges, and inclusive academic mobility.

With this new partnership, RTU continues to advance its vision of becoming a leading technological university in Asia, grounded in global partnerships that drive educational excellence and sustainable development.
