Rizal Technological University (RTU) emerged as a powerhouse at the Philippine Instrumentation and Control Society (PICS) National Conference 2023, earning accolades and recognition for its outstanding contributions to the field of Instrumentation and Control Engineering. The conference, themed “The Renaissance: Embracing Industry 4.0 through Innovation: Recognizing Excellence in Instrumentation and Automation,” took place at the Podium Hall in Ortigas Center on November 29, 2023. Awards Roster for RTU:
1. Outstanding Pinoy Industrial Automation Educational Institution Award of the Year in Instrumentation and Control Engineering Program: RTU’s commitment to excellence in education was acknowledged with this prestigious award, highlighting the university’s dedication to producing top-notch professionals in the field.
2. Outstanding Pinoy Industrial Automation Educator Award of the Year in Instrumentation and Control Engineering Program – Engr. Victor L. Domingo: Engr. Domingo’s exceptional contributions to the field were recognized with this individual award, showcasing the caliber of educators at RTU.
3. PICS National Integrity Award of the Year: RTU’s commitment to integrity and ethical practices in the field of Instrumentation and Control Engineering earned the University the esteemed PICS National Integrity Award.
4. PICS Student Chapter Award of the Year and PICS National Quiz Bowl 2023 Champion – RTU Student Chapter: RTU’s student chapter not only secured the award for their outstanding performance but also clinched the championship in the National Quiz Bowl, underscoring the university’s commitment to nurturing talent and excellence among its students.
In a heartfelt speech, Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, the President of Rizal Technological University, expressed her gratitude to PICS for the honors bestowed upon the university. Dr. Yangco proudly acknowledged that some of the awardees were products of RTU and assured the audience that the university would continue to produce good but the best instrumentation and control engineers.
