Rizal Technological University, in partnership with Techedify, successfully conducted a specialized training program for faculty members titled “GenAI Citizenship.” The initiative was spearheaded by the International Affairs and Linkages Office in coordination with the Gender Studies and Development Office.
“GenAI Citizenship” emphasized the responsible, inclusive, and innovative use of generative AI in teaching, research, and administration. By equipping faculty with advanced knowledge and practical applications, the training seeks to foster an environment where AI tools can enhance instruction, streamline processes, and promote global competitiveness.
Faculty members from all colleges and institutes across RTU’s Boni and Pasig campuses actively participated in the sessions. The wide representation highlighted the university’s collective commitment to harnessing technology as a driver of academic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.
The training is part of RTU’s continuous efforts to strengthen its academic community’s capacity in emerging technologies, particularly in Artificial Intelligence. With the goal of establishing a pool of AI-trained faculty, the program supports the university’s long-term vision of becoming a smart and transnational university.
Through this partnership with Techedify, RTU reaffirms its role as a forward-looking institution that prepares its educators and students to navigate the opportunities and challenges of the digital age. The “GenAI Citizenship” program stands as a significant milestone in RTU’s pursuit of transformative education and global engagement.
