On August 26, 2024, Mr. Donato Z. Estocada, Director of the International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO), and Dr. Mark Joseph Santos, Director of the Institute of Human Kinetics (IHK), represented Rizal Technological University (RTU) at the 8th Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) Forum held at Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City. The forum’s theme, “Leadership and Value-Driven Schemes for Higher Educational Development in the Philippines,” brought together academic leaders from across Asia to discuss strategies for advancing higher education in the region.
The 8th AUAP Forum saw participation from esteemed representatives of various universities from the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and India. The event served as a vibrant platform for exchanging innovative ideas and best practices that can drive institutional growth and enhance the quality of education. The presence of delegates from diverse countries underscores the AUAP’s commitment to fostering regional cooperation and collaboration in higher education.
The forum also provided an excellent opportunity for networking and forging partnerships with other universities in the Asia-Pacific region. RTU forged a collaboration with NIMS University from India and Saint Dominic College in Asia. By participating in this event, RTU aims to strengthen its international linkages, explore potential collaborations in research and academic programs, and align its educational initiatives with global standards.
As part of its internationalization strategy, RTU continues to engage in activities that foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among academic institutions. Participation in forums like the AUAP provides a platform for RTU to showcase its commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and innovation.
