RTU Delegates Attend Training on Recent Developments in Property and Supply Management Integration under RA 12009

In its commitment to strengthening procurement practices and enhancing institutional compliance, selected faculty members and administrative staff of Rizal Technological University (RTU) participated in the training titled “Recent Development on Property and Supply Management: Integration under RA 12009 Procurement” held from June 24 to 26, 2025, at the Bohol Tropics Resort Hotel, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

Organized by the JPLVC Center for Academic Values Foundation, Inc. (JCAV), the three-day program focused on equipping property and supply management officers, BAC members, and procurement personnel with updated knowledge and strategies in line with Republic Act No. 12009, which aims to streamline and integrate procurement and supply systems in the public sector.

Representing RTU in the training were Mr. Rowell C. Marasigan, Chief Administrative Officer for Finance and Vice Chairperson of the BAC for Goods and Services (G&S); Instr. Ricardo H. Momongan Jr., CAS Faculty Member, Director of the Extension and Community Services Office, and BAC-G&S Member; Instr. Jego Alfonso M. Juanillo, CAS Faculty Member and BAC Secretariat; Dr. Corleto R. Bravo, Dean of the College of Engineering and Chairperson of the BAC-TWG Infrastructure; Engr. Orlando M. Echaluse, CEA Faculty Member and BAC-TWG Infrastructure Member; Atty. Iah D. Linco, College of Business, Entrepreneurship and Accountancy (CBEA) Faculty Member and Deputy Legal Counsel of the Office of Legal Affairs; and Instr. Jethro Jhames A. Jose, CEA Faculty Member, Staff of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, and BAC-TWG Infrastructure Member.

The training covered vital topics with workshops and expert-led discussions, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of the evolving landscape of procurement under the new law. This initiative reinforces RTU’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and accountability in its procurement processes, ensuring alignment with national reforms and standards.
