RTU Curriculum Experts Share Research Findings at ACE2025 in Japan

Representing Rizal Technological University (RTU) at the 17th Asian Conference on Education (ACE2025), Dr. Nilmar Moreno, Director of the Institute of Industrial Technology, presented the findings of their research, titled “Exploring Technical Vocational Teacher Education: Inputs to Curriculum Model Development,” on November 27, 2025, during the Parallel Sessions of the 5-day Conference.

The conference, organized by the International Academic Forum, featured researchers from across the globe. It served as a platform for interdisciplinary discussion and international academic exchange of knowledge relevant to education, particularly for academics in Asia. To accommodate the large number of participants, ACE2025 was held over 5 days, from November 24, 2025, to November 28, 2025, at the University of Osaka, Japan, and was also available via online teleconferencing platforms.

Dr. Moreno, as the representative of his group with Dr. Romelyn Callueng, and Dr. Apollo Portez of the Technological University of the Philippines, shared the results of their study, which aimed to develop a comprehensive curriculum model for the Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd) program in the Philippines based on the knowledge, experiences, and practices of experts within the BTVTEd curriculum across the country.

Their valuable contribution to furthering the knowledge base in curriculum development for the BTVTEd programs in the country lays the foundation for a stronger higher education system that directly serves the need for skilled workers worldwide.

True to RTU’s mission in crafting high-impact research that can be shared with the world, Dr. Moreno’s presentation and participation in ACE2025 highlight the University’s continued support for research-based education.
