True to the concept of curriculum being the heart of education, curriculum experts from Rizal Technological University (RTU) gained new perspectives on curriculum and instructional design through the Asia-Pacific Conference on Curriculum Studies and Instructional Designing 2025 held on September 26-28, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Manila. Organized by the Asia Pacific Research Association on Curriculum Studies, Inc., the conference focused on discussions of evidence-based insights, practices, and innovations in curriculum and instruction that address the challenges and opportunities of a VUCAD2 (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous, Diverse, and Disruptive) world.
The concept of the VUCAD2 world suggests that despite our fast pace, our world remains filled with disruptions and diversity. It is essential for educators, educational leaders, and institutions to remain equipped to maintain quality education and navigate the complexities that global challenges may bring.
RTU’s delegation comprised Master of Arts in Instructional Technology professorial lecturers, including Assoc. Prof. Romelyn Z. Callueng, Dr. Nilmar I. Moreno, Dr. Julius L. Meneses, and Instr. Hazel S. Selanoba from the University Curriculum and Instructional Office (UCIO). Their attendance at the conference secured invaluable knowledge and learning that may contribute to RTU’s enduring commitment to providing quality education. The innovations and effective practices they learned from the conference will help maintain Pandayang Rizalia’s brand of education.
Through collaborative knowledge-sharing events like this, RTU keeps its knowledge and expertise updated and relevant, informing its curriculum design and instructional practices.
