RTU CEA faculty members join the prestigious World Young Scientists Summit in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China

On November 11–12, 2023, Rizal Technological University College of Engineering and Architecture (RTU CEA) faculty members recently made a significant mark on the global stage by participating in the prestigious World Young Scientists Summit held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. This international gathering brought together forward-thinking educators and researchers worldwide, providing an invaluable platform for exchanging innovative ideas and cutting-edge research. The RTU faculty’s attendance showcased their commitment to academic excellence. It facilitated cross-cultural collaboration and knowledge sharing, reinforcing the university’s dedication to staying at the forefront of global scientific advancements.

The RTU delegation includes Engr. Corleto Bravo (CEA Dean); Engr. Gerry Cabrera, Mechanical Engineering Department Head, Engr. Armando Mattias, Center for Cooperative Education Director; and Dr. Jaevier Villanueva, Data Science and Smart Analytics Director. Their participation underscores RTU’s active engagement in fostering a culture of research and development on an international scale, particularly in the College of Engineering.

In addition to their active participation in the said summit, faculty members seized the opportunity to enrich their experience further as they were granted an exclusive tour of the Yalong Intelligent Equipment Group Co. Ltd. showroom. They gained insights into cutting-edge technologies and advancements in the field. Additionally, the faculty was privileged to visit esteemed institutions such as Wenzhou Polytechnic University and Wenzhou University, further enhancing their understanding of global academic practices and forging potential avenues for future collaborations. This comprehensive engagement strengthened RTU’s global academic network and provided its faculty with a firsthand look into the latest developments in industry and academia. Instr. Donato Z. Estocada of the University Center for International Linkages and External Affairs (UCILEA) and Assoc. Prof. Nilmar Moreno of the Center for Futures Thinking and Innovation (CFTI) accompanied the faculty members.
