The Rizal Technological University’s (RTU) Auxiliary Services Unit (ASU), under the leadership of Instr. Kathleen Bautista, orchestrated a Food Tasting Event, themed “The Exhibition of Standard Brands and Tastes.” This culinary affair took place at the Right Wing Lobby of the SNAGAH Building, on February 6, 2024.
The event commenced with heartwarming remarks from the Dean of the Office of Student and Alumni Affairs Services (OSAAS), Dr. Marc DG. Garvida. His words not only set the event but also emphasized the importance of fostering a sense of responsibility in ensuring the nutrition of the foods sold at the university. Following this, Dr. Kristine Y. Opulencia, the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA), delivered a very inspiring message, reminding the RTU community about the dual significance of serving not only delectable dishes but also promoting the importance of healthy and nutritious food for RTUians.
Esteemed evaluators were tasked with the responsibility of critiquing the dishes. They meticulously evaluated each dish based on presentation, taste, and overall culinary execution. Their feedback would not only acknowledge the efforts of the concessionaires but also contribute to the continuous improvement of food standards offered within the university.
The head of the ASU sealed the event by expressing her sincerest gratitude for the cooperation of the concessionaires and stating an unwavering commitment to nurturing both body and mind, ensuring that every RTUian experiences the pleasure of healthy, nutritious, and delectable meals.
