RTU and Armed Forces of the Philippines Sign MOU to Strengthen R&D Initiatives

June 6, 2024 – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Rizal Technological University (RTU) held a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at strengthening research and development initiatives. The event took place at the RTU Blue Room, RND Building, Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong City.

Key officials from both institutions attended the ceremony. Representing RTU were Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, RTU President, along with the university’s Vice Presidents and Directors. The AFP delegation was led by Major General Arvin Lagamon, Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, J7.

This strategic partnership aims to harness cutting-edge technologies and foster forward-thinking approaches that will benefit national development. The MOU focuses on fostering research cooperation, conducting collaborative research projects, delivering lectures, and facilitating the exchange of academic information. These efforts are designed to enhance national security and defense strategies.
