Rizaliano Researchers Win Best Abstract at an International Research Conference

Student Researchers from the Rizal Technological University (RTU) once again proved that technology is not only in the name of the university. With their paper, titled “Uncovering Research Dynamics in Southeast Asian Disaster Risk Reduction Management through Machine Learning-Based Text Mining”, student researchers won the Best Abstract award for the Undergraduate Student Category for Smart Engineering and Industrial Innovation at the 5th Emilio Aguinaldo College Cavite International Multidisciplinary Research Conference (EACCIMRC), held on December 1, 2025, at the Emilio Aguinaldo College Cavite in a hybrid setup.

The paper was authored by John Tristhan Exequiel C. Dominguez, Jan Raven N. Aspacio, Jake Louie A. Martinez, Celsius F. Celzo, Rain Justin D. Velante, Christian Angelo Moico, and co-authored by RTU Faculty Researchers Dr. Ryan Manuel D. Guido and Instr. Jason B. Kalaw. Celzo served as the Oral Presenter, delivering a masterful presentation of the group’s paper.

The 5th EACCIMRC brought together faculty, students, and researchers affiliated with EAC–Cavite and beyond, offering a venue to present, discuss, and disseminate multidisciplinary research across health, natural sciences, social sciences, education, technology, and other fields.

Celzo’s participation in the conference and the recognition received by the group demonstrate RTU’s commitment to fostering research culture and collaboration across disciplines, and sharing new knowledge useful for academic, societal, and community development.
