Rizaliano Extensionists hailing from the Bachelor in Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) Department of Rizal Technological University (RTU) conducted an activity-based extension program titled “C.A.R.E.-Committed Action for Responsible Economics” on March 18, 2026. The program aimed to introduce 15 Grade 11 students from the Mataas na Paaralang Neptali A. Gonzales (MPNAG) to the principles of responsible economics and empower them with knowledge and skills relevant to sustainable development and entrepreneurship.
With their initiative and substantiated expertise in technical-vocational careers and entrepreneurship, the extensionists masterfully engaged the MPNAG students through interactive discussions and experiential activities. The Project Leader, Instr. Angeline V. Villareal led the student volunteers from the BTVTED Department, majoring in Garments, Fashion, and Design, who assisted in facilitating the lectures and practical activities of the program.
Through interactive discussions, expert insights, and practical exercises, participants were guided in exploring opportunities in creative entrepreneurship and sustainable product development models. The program further ensured that participants developed essential skills that contribute to long-term economic and social impact.
By integrating practical applications with theoretical concepts, the activity encouraged students to become more responsible, innovative, and socially aware individuals, capable of contributing to sustainable economic practices in their communities.
Exemplifying RTU’s unwavering commitment to knowledge sharing and community development through extension programs, the BTVTED department’s ‘C.A.R.E.’ program leveraged Rizalianos’ skills and expertise to advance the University’s goals and enhance participants’ potential for responsible entrepreneurship, staying true to RTU’s core value of excellence.
