Pandayang Rizalia Adds University of Wolverhampton UK as International Partner

Further advancing the University’s position in the global arena, Rizal Technological University (RTU) sealed yet another meaningful partnership with the University of Wolverhampton (UoW) in the United Kingdom. On September 10, 2025, the two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at RTU’s Blue Room, allowing RTU to increase its presence in the West and bring exciting opportunities for Rizalianos.

Spearheaded by Assoc. Prof. Donato Z. Estocada, Director of RTU’s International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO), RTU officials, and students warmly welcomed UoW’s representatives and a representation from Crea Vitae Education, an ASEAN partner to UoW.

The signing was attended by top university officials such as Dr. Kristine Y. Opulencia, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA); Dr. Magno M. Quendangan, VP for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services (VPRIES); Dr. Salvacion J. Pachejo, VP for Planning, Quality Assurance, and Strategic Initiatives (VPPQASI). Several academic officers were also present in the meeting, including the Deans of the College of Education, College of Arts and Sciences, and College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy, as well as the Directors of the Institute of Human Kinetics and Institute of Architecture.

University of Wolverhampton’s Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ebrahim Adia, and Dr. Robin Carey, Associate Director of International Partnerships, signed the MOU, with Crea Vitae Education’s Project Director, Mr. Jason Wong, Executive Director, Dr. Jessica Wong, and CEO, Dr. Alla Kesava Rao, as witnesses to the monumental agreement.

To kick off the partnership, the present officials discussed the opportunities being offered by UoW. These opportunities include high-quality education offerings on postgraduate business degrees for Rizaliano faculty and alumni, as well as student exchange programs wherein Rizalianos may spend a summer in the UK to grow more as individuals and as students. Rizaliano students also took the opportunity to inquire about UoW’s offers through a short forum-like consultation.

With an ever-growing number of partnerships, brought about by the efforts of IALO, RTU ensures the manifestation of its vision of becoming a transnational university that offers transformative learning opportunities beyond the borders of nationalities. With this partnership with UoW, Pandayang Rizalia strengthens its international visibility and creates a larger picture for Rizalianos.
