Rizalianos’ excellence in the field of Entrepreneurship shone as the City Government of Mandaluyong conferred Rizal Technological University (RTU) with the Hall of Famer Ulirang Mandaleño Award under the Student Entrepreneurs Category. The award was given in recognition of the BS Entrepreneurship Department’s consistent performance and consecutive wins in the Student Entrepreneurs’ Cup.

Presented on February 9, 2026, during the Business Night and Awarding Ceremonies held at Wack Wack Golf and Country Club, the award was received by Dr. Kristine Y. Opulencia, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs; Dr. Rome Sherriff G. Montoya, Dean of the College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy; Instr. Cyrille Anne Del Rio, Program Head for BS Entrepreneurship; and Ms. Jenz Mariz Baisas  Staff, Economic Enterprise Development Unit and SE Cup 2022 Recipient.

The Entrepreneurship Department’s exemplary performance in the Student Entrepreneurs’ Cup was lauded by the City Government, which called it an inspiration to the Mandaluyong youth to pursue excellence in business and entrepreneurship.

The award reflects the University’s enduring commitment to quality instruction and education beyond the campus. With the Entrepreneurship Department’s annual participation and dominance in the Student Entrepreneurs’ Cup, Rizalianos exemplify the Rizaliano education and its real-life applications, especially in the field of business.
