In a proactive move towards community safety, the Rizal Technological University – Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (DRRMO) headed by Instr. Emmanuel L. Taruc, in collaboration with Mandaluyong City Health, organized a two-day Physical Seminar and Training on First Aid and Basic Life Support – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The event took place from November 30 to December 1, 2023, at the Conference Room, SNAGAH, RTU Mandaluyong Campus.
Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, University President, and Dr. Rodolfo L. Ducut, Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA), supported the initiative.
The morning session included an overview of the program by Instr. John Arvie Casas and an introduction to the trainers by Dr. Placer, Health Officer of Mandaluyong City Health. Topics covered included First Aid and Basic Life Support – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
The training also includes practical sessions, ensuring participants have hands-on experience in life-saving techniques.
The RTU DRRMO, in collaboration with Mandaluyong City Health, showcased its commitment to enhancing the community’s emergency response capabilities. As participants walk away with newfound knowledge and skills, the city is better equipped to handle medical emergencies and contribute to a safer, more resilient environment.
