Mandaluyong City — A team from the Commission on Higher Education – National Capital Region (CHED NCR) and the Office of Programs and Standards Development (OPSD) conducted a Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) Visit at Rizal Technological University (RTU) on June 10, 2025.
The visit focused on the evaluation of several academic programs under the College of Engineering, namely:
- Master of Science in Engineering major in Computer Engineering
- Master of Science in Engineering major in Industrial Engineering
- Master of Science in Engineering major in Instrumentation and Control Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering
Key CHED evaluators included Engr. Noel B. Linsangan, Engr. Netley Sore, Engr. Nelson M. Pasamonte, Engr. Enrico Claro R. Delmoro, and Dr. Cynthia Llanes. Also in attendance was Dr. Renato A. Villegas from CHED NCR.
Representing RTU were Dr. Salvacion J. Pachejo, Vice President for Quality Assurance and Strategic Initiatives (VPPQASI), AO Ma. Lourdes R. Austria, Director of the Quality Assurance Office, and Dr. Corleto R. Bravo, Dean of the College of Engineering. Department heads and faculty members from the engineering programs also participated in the visit.
Also present during the activity were Dr. Ryan Manuel D. Guido, Director of the Research Development and Innovation Office (RDIO); Instr. Bobby D. Cauilan, Director of the Library Management and Services Unit (LMSU); Instr. Ida Reyes Mamaril from the University Curriculum and Instruction Office (UCIO); and Dr. Rodrigo DP. Tomas, Director of the Office of Student and Alumni Affairs Services (OSAAS).
The RQAT visit served as a vital step in assessing the academic and operational readiness of the programs in line with CHED’s standards, supporting RTU’s continuous commitment to academic excellence and program development.
