Faculty members from the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) at Rizal Technological University participated in a seminar-workshop on Advanced Level Engineering (ALE), in cooperation with the Philippine Technological Council (PTC), on November 17, 2023, at the RTU SNAGAH Penthouse. The Quality Assurance Center, led by its Director, Dr. Edna P. Conwi, under the Vice President for Planning and Development (VPPD), Dr. Salvacion J. Pachejo, arranged the event.

The training was led by the renowned engineers, namely, Engr. Federico A. Monsada, Engr. Romulo R. Agatep, and Engr. Trese T. Bustamante. Engr. Monsada serves as the President of PTC and the Philippine Federation of Professional Associations (PFPA), while Engr. Agatep, an APEC and ASEAN Engineer, is the Vice Chair of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, a Country Engineer Registrar, and the Chair for International Relations of PTC. Moreover, Engr. Bustamante acts as the Presidential Adviser and Coordinator for PTC Middle East and North Africa Affairs. All three are prominent in engineering practice and education in the Philippines and internationally.

PTC serves as the focal point for programs affecting the engineering profession, engineering practice, international connections, and the ongoing development and enhancement of Filipino engineers’ competitiveness on the world stage. It encourages professional inter-disciplinary collaboration and interaction between its member organizations and individual professionals as it keeps up with the most recent advancements in the industry.

PTC’s Advanced Level Engineering (ALE) program includes an introduction to PTC Engineering Education and Practice Imperatives for Global Comparability and Recognition of Qualifications, Engineering Registry, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and Code of Ethics.
