CBEA Strengthens Faculty in Research, Ramps up Accreditation Readiness

In early preparation for anticipated needs in the next semester, the College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy (CBEA) held a retreat at Vista Venice Resort in Morong, Bataan, on December 1-3, 2025, to strengthen faculty readiness for program accreditation and enhance faculty research capabilities.

Led by the College Dean, Dr. Rome Sheriff Montoya, the faculty of Rizal Technological University’s (RTU) CBEA Faculty conducted a seminar-workshop as preparation for the accreditation of their programs. Part of the workshop was the review of the extensive program areas, parameters, and indicators of the largest college in RTU. The gaps in the necessary documents and compliance files were also identified to enable proper corrective action by each involved department.

A curriculum revision workshop followed, aiming to identify and address gaps, issues, and areas of improvement in each program curriculum under the college. The participating faculty members of each department worked together to map a revised curriculum for their programs, aptly resolving the challenges faced in the previous semesters.

The following sessions focused on strengthening faculty members’ research capabilities. From the orientation on RTU’s research goals to the identification of researchable areas in the field of business, the faculty was equipped with foundational knowledge to create high-impact research that can be utilized by the public. The session also included a refresher on research methodologies relevant to CBEA’s knowledge areas, as well as the ethical procedures researchers should consider. The faculty was ultimately aligned with the publication guidelines and journal targets.

This initiative from one of RTU’s academic pillars showcases the University’s commitment to quality, research-based education. Because with a stronger CBEA comes a stronger Pandayang Rizalia.
