A Grand Event of Cultural Appreciation: RTU Himig Rizalia Shines Bright at CCP Pasinaya 2025

Rizal Technological University’s very own Himig Rizalia, under the direction of Choirmaster Renier Aguilar, participated at the CCP PASINAYA 2025 OPEN HOUSE FESTIVAL: PARA SA LAHAT, mesmerizing and captivating the audience at Ayala Malls Circuit Makati last February 2, 2025.

The group joined the annual celebration full of remarkable music, arts, dance, theater, film, and literature, sharing their excellent performances with the attendees of the cultural festivities. They expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the vibrant cultural landscape showcased at the event.

To name some of their presentations, Himig Rizalia performed “Ahibakle”, an Ifugao ethnic song arranged by Bienvenido B.  Constantino, Jr. which depicts an occasion where the Ifugaos celebrate the season of good harvest by making rice cake and wine. The group also beautifully performed “Naroon,” arranged by Roñido Rañada Mendoza for the event.

These performances highlighted the rich artistic spirit of the festival and accentuating the importance of enriching and supporting the creative community, especially during February’s Art Month. The marvelous festival continues to be a crucial program for the artists and audiences, promoting an awareness for Filipino culture and artistry.

Himig Rizalia’s stellar performances at the event was a shining testament to RTU’s unwavering commitment to increase appreciation of cultural preservation – championing not just the academic but also the artistic excellence of the Rizalianos.
