The Department of Entrepreneurship of Rizal Technological University (RTU), in cooperation with the Office of Councilor Charisse Abalos-Vargas and the DTI Negosyo Center-NCR, Mandaluyong City, successfully conducted the fifth installment of its flagship entrepreneurship exposition, Galyong Bughaw 2026: Ikalimang Layag, on May 13, 2026, at Greenfield Central Park, EDSA Central Avenue, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.
Anchored on the theme “Voyagers of Innovation: A New Era of Trade,” the annual event served as a dynamic platform for student entrepreneurs to present market-ready ventures, pioneering products, and forward-thinking business models to industry partners, academic stakeholders, and the broader community. The exposition underscored RTU’s enduring commitment to cultivating the next generation of Filipino entrepreneurs through experiential, innovation-driven education.
This year’s edition drew notable participation across three competitive categories—Food, Non-Food, and Technology—with student teams navigating the full spectrum of the entrepreneurial process, from ideation and concept development to business modeling and competitive pitching. Demonstrating strategic acumen, market awareness, and creative resilience, the participating Rizalianos embodied the bold, future-oriented spirit that defines RTU’s academic culture.

The successful staging of Galyong Bughaw 2026 reflects the collective dedication of RTU’s faculty, administrators, government partners, and, above all, its students—young innovators whose entrepreneurial journeys extend far beyond the classroom. As the university continues to strengthen its academic programs and community linkages, Galyong Bughaw remains a testament to what Iskolar ng Bayan can achieve when education, creativity, and purpose converge.
True to the spirit of its theme, RTU’s voyagers of innovation have set sail—and the horizon holds great promise.
