RTU Launches Official Research Publication with its Maiden Issue

The Rizalian Review, the official research publication of Rizal Technological University (RTU) is officially published, marked by the printing of its Maiden Issue last December 2025.

The Rizalian Review is an annual publication managed by the Research, Development, and Innovation Office, through its Research Publication Unit, under the RTU Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services (OVPRIES). The publication is a scholarly, peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality, original research by Rizalianos across various disciplines.

The Rizalian Review features three (3) journal themes in its maiden issue: The Rizalian Ventures, The Rizalian Research and Innovation Studies, and The Rizalian Dalubtalaan. The Rizalian Ventures focuses on disciplines related to business and entrepreneurship areas; The Rizalian Research and Innovation Studies features papers authored by undergraduate students of RTU; and The Rizalian Dalubtalaan boasts studies related to astronomy and research initiatives from RTU’s Center for Astronomy Research and Development (CARD).

Beyond the first three journal themes, The Rizalian Review aims to publish more papers in its next issue under 4 new themes, including The Rizalian Pioneer, The Rizalian Ingenium, Estetika Rizalia, and The Rizalian Forefront. With the 7 journal themes, The Rizalian Review sees an expansion of the publication of more scholarly articles from Rizalianos.

VPRIES Dr. Magno M. Quendangan describes the publication of The Rizalian Review’s maiden issue as a tangible advancement in the University’s ongoing endeavor to foster research excellence. Dr. Ryan Manuel Guido, the Editor-in-Chief of the publication, also said, “ This issue marks crossroads for many fields, where science and humanities intersect, theory is tested in practice, and emerging perspectives challenge well-established ones.”

Both RTU officials expressed high hopes for The Rizalian Review as a step towards a stronger research culture and development in the University, with Dr. Quendangan saying, “Although this is only the first issue, may the Rizalian Review provoke curiosity among scholars, instructors, and researchers…”

With ISSN no. 31136-4110 for the printed version and ISSN no. 3116-4579 for the online version, The Rizalian Review is available for viewing through the official RTU website, while printed issues are available for request at the RPU.
