Rizal Technological University (RTU) actively participated in the 2026 TECHREVEd Conference organized by the Philippine Schools, Universities and Colleges Computer Education and Systems Society (PSUCCESS), held from February 18–20, 2026, at Bulwagang Balagtas, Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sta. Mesa, Manila.

With the theme “Artificial Intelligence for Transformative Education, Industry Innovation, and Public Sector Governance,” the national conference gathered leaders from academia, government, and industry to discuss the growing impact of artificial intelligence on learning systems, workforce development, and public sector transformation.

RTU was represented by Assoc. Prof. Donato Z. Estocada, Dr. Faith Micah Abenes-Balbin, Dr. Samuel A. Balbin, Assoc. Prof. John Eric O. Estrellado, Dr. Ma. Luisa M. Villanueva, Dr. Aphril A. Alcalde, Engr. Eugene M. Sadicon, Assoc. Prof. Dolores A. Agida, Dr. Jaevier A. Villanueva, and Dr. Marife E. Gomez, who participated in plenary sessions, policy roundtables, research presentations, and collaborative discussions on responsible AI integration and digital transformation.

One of the highlights of the conference was the participation of Dr. Ma. Eugenia M. Yangco, RTU President, who served as a panelist in the plenary discussion on the societal impact of AI, jobs, skills, and the future workforce. Representing the academe sector, Dr. Yangco shared insights on curriculum reform, academic readiness, and the strategic role of higher education institutions in ensuring that AI adoption remains ethical, inclusive, and aligned with national development goals.

The conference also featured distinguished speakers from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), university presidents, industry AI specialists, and technology leaders who emphasized the importance of balancing innovation with governance, equity, and policy coherence.

RTU’s strong presence in PSUCCESS 2026 reflects the University’s sustained commitment to advancing research, innovation, and technology-driven education. Through active engagement in national academic platforms, RTU continues to strengthen its leadership role in shaping responsible and transformative AI integration in Philippine higher education.
