Rizal Technological University (RTU) proudly participated in the 13th National Business and Management Conference held on November 27–29, 2025, at De La Salle University, Manila. Organized by the DLSU Center for Business Research and Development and the Philippine Academy of Management, the event brought together scholars and practitioners to explore innovations in business and management.
Representing RTU’s College of Business and Entrepreneurial Technology (CBEA), faculty members and students from the Department of Office Administration (OA) presented four research studies that tackled pressing issues in employee satisfaction, retention, and management practices within the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector.
The research showcase highlights both faculty and student presentations. Among them is the research titled “The Link Between Job Satisfaction, Employee Retention, and the Intervening Effect of Human Resource Management Practices”, presented by OA Department students, Mr. Prince Albwin Matienzo and Mr. Errol Martin Navarro. This study examined how HR practices influence job satisfaction and retention in BPO firms.
In “The Effect of Office Management Practices on Employee Satisfaction and Employee Retention”, presented by Mr. Errol Martin Navarro, the relationship between job satisfaction, employee retention, and management practices was examined and highlighted.
“The Mediating Effects of Office Management Practices on the Relationship Between Job Satisfaction and Employee Retention: The Case of Business Outsourcing Companies in Makati City, Philippines” presented by faculty members from the OA Department, Instr. Joy April Andes, Dr. Jayvie Guballo, and Mr. Noel Tubice provided a nuanced view of how management practices mediate employee outcomes. This research focused on Makati-based BPO companies and explored how office management affects employee morale and loyalty.
The presentations underscored RTU’s commitment to producing research that bridges academic inquiry with industry relevance—particularly in the fast-evolving BPO landscape. RTU’s participation in this national conference not only highlighted its research capabilities but also reinforced its dedication to shaping future-ready professionals equipped with insights into workplace dynamics and strategic management.
