EE Students Win Championship and Award

The Electrical Engineering students of RTU are Champions in the 3rd CLASH OF THE INTELLECTS IN ENGINEERING SCIENCES AND ALLIED SUBJECTS (CIENSCIA) participated in by 29 affiliated colleges and universities all over the country 4th place in the Philippine Electrical Code Quiz Show (PECQS) with 31 participating colleges and universities from all over the Philippines.  Both events were conducted by the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers – Council of Student Chapters (IIEE-CSC).  The events were held at the SMX Convention Center on November 25, 2016 during the IIEE’s 41st Annual National Convention and 3rd Electrical Engineering and Technology Student Summit.

The RizalTech and JRU Renew Agreement for Collaboration

The Rizal Technological University and the Jose Rizal University have renewed their Agreement for Collaboration on November 11, 2016.  The Collaboration which shall be undertaken by both universities will be in the field of international education and research.  The faculty members and experts of both institutions may undergo collaborative research projects which may include relevant programs exchanges.

The Agreement shall be for two years.  It was signed in the Rizal Technological University by Dr. Jesus Rodrigo F. Torres of the RTU and by Dr. Vicente K. Fabella of RTU upon the latter’s visit to the RTU together with some high-ranking JRU officials.

Both the JRU and the RTU are ISO-Certified institutions.

New ECE Equipment

On November 11, 2016 a delivery was made for new ECE equipment by the supplier Innovative Concepts marketing.  They are 3 units of Tuned Circuits and Filtered trainers, 3 units of Modulation and Coding Trainer, 3 units of Real Time Access Terminal, 3 units of Interactive Teaching Software, 3 units of Windows-based PC with Pre-installed OS, 3 units of Function Generator, 3 units of DC Power Supply, 3 units of Digital Multimeter Sanwa brand, and 3 units of Analog Multimeter.

The total cost of the delivery is PhP 4,036,962.76.  The items have been procured through public bidding in accordance with Republic Act 9184.

The procurement of these items is in the spirit of the mission of the RizalTech to provide her students high quality education, to give them the opportunity to have a bright future for themselves and to contribute to the highly-educated, disciplined, and capable work force of the country.
